Nonetheless, Nephi also sternly warns those of us who chose not to follow these words (i.e. words of Christ, even this Book of Mormon), that these words will condemn us at the last day. How terrible must that feel? Nephi speak of the last day as a very happy event for those who follows and endures to the end but it is also at the very same setting at the judgement bar that we would be held accountable. I don't know about you but that's enough to remind me what I must do with these knowledge of the gospel. As I drive around different grocery stores just picking up normal grocery, I can see people panicking and frantically gathering items to prepare the pending lock down of society as a whole from the virus scare. I can't honestly say that I'm not anxious either. But I feel like I'm maybe slight less scared because we've always been prepared as far as our household provision goes. Isn't reading the Book of Mormon, taking in the words of Christ and listening to the prophet similar in that sense? As we take in these things regularly and building up our testimony (provisions) bit by bit, then at the last days, we ought to be prepared and fear not. But for those who fears the most are the ones that aren't prepared. So at the last days, in front of the judgement bar they panic and they try to fanatically build up a testimony on the spot, liken unto those panic shoppers. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way; the time to do build up that testimony is now as Nephi has heeded us in his final testimony.
